Waverley Borough Council is preparing its plan to guide
where new homes and other forms of development should go. They are required by
the South East Plan to provide for at least 5,000 new homes in The Council has stated that they would like the help of the residents in meeting the challenge of deciding where these new homes should go.

The Council’s website invites residents to complete a questionnaire indicating which of five proposed options for the location of new homes they prefer or, if none, their alternative preference.
Option 5 is –
“Development within the main settlements of Farnham (including Badshot Lea), Godalming, Haslemere and Cranleigh with any shortfall being met by a new freestanding settlement.”
In their notes on this Option 5 the Council state that
“The Dunsfold Park scheme failed on appeal due to the unsustainable location of
